1. Minutes of the Last Meeting/Matters Arising

The minutes of the last meeting were agreed and approved.

2. Wirral Patient Voice Group (WPVG) Meeting

With the last minutes, AG had also sent us some information about the Chair election. This is a temporary position for 6 months and then this will be reviewed. Anyone can apply for this position if they would like to. The terms of reference for the group have not yet been agreed.

As TH was new to the group, Allan explained how the group and the Wirral Voice group was organised and worked.

From the Wirral Voice meeting, we discussed the Ultrasound proposal that was discussed at the last meeting. There was concern that this document was not easy to read.

We discussed the CHAMPS scheme (information about this was circulated with the agenda for our meeting). This is regarding a review regarding tackling high blood pressure and atrial fibrillation. This is quite a complicated document and there was concern as it asked for patient feedback. If you have any feedback on this document, please contact [email protected] or call 0151 666 5123.

5. Any Other Business.

AG mentioned that he had heard there were problems with 111 and that it was going to be removed again but we confirmed that we had not heard this.

CPR session – the group asked if it might be possible to organise a CPR session for them. MP has contacted the British Heart Foundation and St John’s ambulance but is waiting to hear back from them.

We spoke about the technical issues between Arrowe Park & Broadgreen. SM informed us that as they were two different trusts, so currently there was no IT communication between the two.

KF said that the flu clinic had worked excellently again this year and it seemed to get better each year.

TH spoke about an issue with a letter sent to the GP but obviously was regarding a different patient. We agreed that this was unacceptable and she will ask for further clarification on this and could also speak to PALS for further help.

Date of next meeting - Monday 16th November 2015, 5pm – 6pm
