Description of FIT member festivals and residencies in 2011

LIFT, the London International Festival of Theatre, various dates throughout 2011.

In 2011 LIFT celebrates its 30th Birthday with a programme of commissions, performances, events and debates. In particular LIFT will produce a series of artist led events in either July or October to compliment Plunge, a major new public art commission (with Artsadmin) by the artist Michael Pinsky raising awareness of climate change and environmental sustainability, and 4 weekend events between July - December exploring London, Internationalism, Festivals and Theatre. Throughout the year the creative team at LIFT will also be developing the programming plans for the LIFT 2012 Festival. We are very open to proposals for a residency that would creatively respond to our work around climate change or the 4 planned weekend events. www.liftfestival.com
