NEW BUSINESS:



    1. Discussion regarding using the services of Chief Robert Johnson, a police consultant and part of the Act 47 Team. He is able to provide resources, assistance, and technical support for our Police Department. He would be able to work with the Aliquippa Police Department over the next months to assist with updates to policies, procedures, technologies, recruitment of officers, and strategies to modernize and improve the operations of the department. This would not affect our City budget.


    1. The Police Civil Service Board placed an ad in the Beaver County Times on Sunday, July 26, 2020 in order to begin the process of hiring Police Officers. Applications are due by August 28, 2020.

    1. Motion to approve the purchase by Sebreenna Ownes of tax parcels 08-042-0428.000 located at 1827 Main Street from the Beaver County Repository of Unsold Properties authorizing the appropriate official to execute the consent agreement of Resolution No. 7 of 2018 and exonerating taxes due and owing for the City purposes, of properties held in repository of the Beaver County Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for all years preceding the year 2016, delinquent property taxes. All current taxes for the year 2016, 2017 and each subsequent year thereafter shall be due and owing to the City of Aliquippa.


    1. Motion to approve the purchase by Jamaal White/Turality LLC of tax parcel 08-021-1004.000 located at 309 7th Avenue from the Beaver County Repository of Unsold Properties authorizing the appropriate official to execute the consent agreement of Resolution No. 7 of 2018 and exonerating taxes due and owing for the City purposes, of properties held in repository of the Beaver County Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for all years preceding the year 2016, delinquent property taxes. All current taxes for the year 2016, 2017 and each subsequent year thereafter shall be due and owing to the City of Aliquippa.

Motion to approve the purchase by Rashad Taliferro of tax parcel 08-040-0704.000 located at 1329 Tyler Street from the Beaver County Repository of Unsold Properties authorizing the appropriate official to execute the consent agreement of Resolution No. 7 of 2018 and exonerating taxes due and owing for the City purposes, of properties held in repository of the Beaver County Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for all years preceding the year 2016, delinquent property taxes. All current taxes for the year 2016, 2017 and each subsequent year thereafter shall be due and owing to the City of Aliquippa.

Motion to approve the purchase by Tania Reddick of tax parcel 08-038-0105.000 located at 1311 Main Street from the Beaver County Repository of Unsold Properties authorizing the appropriate official to execute the consent agreement of Resolution No. 7 of 2018 and exonerating taxes due and owing for the City purposes, of properties held in repository of the Beaver County Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for all years preceding the year 2016, delinquent property taxes. All current taxes for the year 2016, 2017 and each subsequent year thereafter shall be due and owing to the City of Aliquippa.

Motion to approve the purchase by Thelma Butler of tax parcel 08-027-0611.000 located at 225 4th Avenue (vacant lot) from the Beaver County Repository of Unsold Properties authorizing the appropriate official to execute the consent agreement of Resolution No. 7 of 2018 and exonerating taxes due and owing for the City purposes, of properties held in repository of the Beaver County Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for all years preceding the year 2016, delinquent property taxes. All current taxes for the year 2016, 2017 and each subsequent year thereafter shall be due and owing to the City of Aliquippa.

Motion to approve the purchase by Terry Moon of tax parcel 08-019-0104.000 located at 607 Helen Street from the Beaver County Repository of Unsold Properties authorizing the appropriate official to execute the consent agreement of Resolution No. 7 of 2018 and exonerating taxes due and owing for the City purposes, of properties held in repository of the Beaver County Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for all years preceding the year 2016, delinquent property taxes. All current taxes for the year 2016, 2017 and each subsequent year thereafter shall be due and owing to the City of Aliquippa.
