1. OPENING, APPROVAL OF AGENDA, ADMINISTRATIVE

The conference was called to order at 9:10 AM USA Eastern Time. Chairman Hogan welcomed members.

Secretary’s Note: The attendance was recorded in these minutes applying the DICOM attendance rules for the first time. Under separate cover an Excel tabulation of attendance will be distributed that forms the basis for the clarification of membership status. In addition to the members listed, the list of the Observers is inserted in Exhibit A.

Scot traveled to Washington to make the presentation of the Ion Supplement to the DICOM Approval Committee, WG-06. The initial presentation took place on Monday, Sept. 20.

2. DISCUSSION OF DRAFT SUPPLEMENT

WG-06 made several comments and Scot revised the draft last night. He posted Draft 10, which includes the suggested changes.

Scot reported that no comments were made on proton specific items. The WG-06 comments all related to items that were taken from the RT objects; which WG-06 did not seem to like. Other comments were DICOM syntax related. These included:

ACTION: Scot will advise WG-07

GREEN changes – will be re-presented as accepted by this group.

YELLOW items – must check Q&R impact and inform WG-07.

3. PROCESS

Scot and Stephen believed that a Supplement number will be assigned and WG-06 will approve the standard for Public Comment. It was also assumed that the macro referencing will have to be done before public comment issue, which may take 2 weeks for Scot.

It was discussed and decided that an Ion Subgroup-distribution for vote would duplicate the DICOM distribution for public comment and will not be done. No objections were raised within the ion group so consensus is assumed.

Secretary’s note: Late afternoon on Sept. 21, Scot re-presented the revised Supplement. He has inserted the macro references. WG-06 approved it with for Public Comment as Supplement 102. Scot will make a few minor changes and submit to the Editors for posting.

The posting was dated Sept. 22 - See Exhibit B for the copy of the announcement.

4. CHANGE PROPOSALS

Scot reported that the fixation device CP that originated from this Subgroup was approved by WG-06

5. PTCOG PRESENTATION

M. Moyers noted that he will distribute another draft of his Power Point presentation next week (appr. Sept. 27.) He needs some more assistance in the presentation of IODs and asked everyone to contact him with material that he might use in his presentation.

He will also report on the status of the supplement and invite comments. (See details needed for the announcement in Exhibit B.)

9. NEXT MEETING, ADJOURNMENT

The next t-con will be at the call of the chair after the close of the public comment period for discussion of possible public comments. The t-con was adjourned at 10:05 a.m.
