Regular Hours: Monday – Friday 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. open swim

Weekend Hours: 12:00 – 8:00 p.m. open swim

Swim Team Practice 12:00 – 1:00 Monday - Friday

Pool parties: 8:00-10:00 pm

Special Dates:

Pool Passes: Pool passes may be purchased at the Berndes Center prior to the season or at the Aquatic Center during the season.

You must live within the city limits of Monticello to be considered a resident. If you live outside the city limits, you are considered a non-resident. Business addresses are not considered residential. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Aquatic Center Open Policy: The Aquatic Center will be open under the following conditions: Air temperature must be above 70 degrees and at least 20 patrons for 30 minutes. No refunds will be given for closing early or inclement weather.

Lap swim: Swimming uses almost every muscle in the body while improving cardiovascular endurance as well as toning the body. There are two times to take advantage of this activity. Monday – Friday, 5:00-6:00 pm. $1.00 per day.

Pool Parties: Reservations for pool parties may be placed through the Berndes Center office. The cost of a party is $120.00 for 1 hour and $170.00 for 2 hours. Renter pays $8.00 per hour per lifeguard. Hours for pool parties are Monday-Saturday evenings, 8:00-10:00 pm.

Locker Rental: We encourage patrons to bring their own padlocks to secure all personal items. Padlocks are available for rent. The Aquatic Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Monticello Swim Team:, Come swim with the Sharks! June-July, practices 12:00 -1:00 am Monday-Friday. All swimmers must have completed Level 4 swim lessons. Fee: $30.00. Registration deadline: May 15^th at the Berndes Center. Meets to be announced.

Swimming lesson sign-ups: This year’s sign up process will be WALK-IN only. Registration will begin Tuesday, April 14, 7:00 am – 6:00 pm and Wednesday, April 15, 7:00 am – 4:30 pm at the Berndes Center. Lesson fee: $30.00, must be paid at the time of registration. NOTICE: There are only two sessions available this year. Please make sure you sign up at the time required because classes fill early and any changes may not be available at a later date.

Private lessons: Private lessons are available for those who want a 1-on-1 or 2-on-1 instruction ratio. Fee: 1 participant = $15.00 per ½ hour session, 2 participants = $20.00 same ½ hour session. To register, please call the Berndes Center.

Parent and Child Aquatics: Child must be at least 6 months old to enroll. Parent must accompany each child into the water and participate in each class.

Water Aerobics: There will be a time during the day, 5:00 – 5:45 pm some weeks will be during swim lesson time, to have water aerobics available if there is an interest.
