How can I get Involved with Cleveland Heart Society?
Consider a Corporate Sponsorship Package for the Annual Cleveland Heart Ball on Saturday, May 14th at the Intercontinental Hotel. Tables host 10 guests and sponsorship packages can be customized to meet your needs. Enjoy an elegant evening of celebration of the AHA mission and the strides made to build healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. The evening will be filled with fun games, empowering stories and great company.
Take Action by Joining a Fundraising Committee. Help recruit individuals or companies who would like to support the Cleveland Heart Society through sponsorship of the 2011 Heart Ball. Corporate Leadership and Executive Leadership Committees are made up of volunteers in the community who are passionate about the mission and help open doors to introduce the Cleveland Heart Society and it’s mission.
Make a Donation to or Join the Heart Society Auction Committee, help to gather items to be placed in one of three auctions at the Cleveland Heart Ball. These items include, but are not limited to sports memorabilia, beauty packages, unique trips and experiences.
Join the Open Your Heart Committee. This committee is made up of passionate volunteers who look for unique fundraising opportunities and events to host in support of the Cleveland Heart Society movement. Examples of events and opportunities include: hosting a wine tasting, salsa night, gold party, encouraging local business to donate a portion of sales or set out a donation collection box in their establishment, as well as launching a letter writing campaign to help drive individual donor funds.
Join the Heart Society Passion Committee and attend events on behalf of the American Heart Association to promote the Cleveland Heart Society. The committee meets approximately 1-2 times per year and members accumulate points for collecting Cleveland Heart Society registration cards and attending events. Members receive bi-weekly emails with community events and new Cleveland Heart Society information.

The Cleveland Heart Society provides a year-long focus that showcases the work and the mission related activities of the American Heart Association in the Greater Cleveland community including the advancements made through research, patient care and educational programs that improve the health and lives of children and people of all ages.
The Cleveland Heart Society offers sponsors and donors the opportunity to engage in activities that focus in three areas: 1. Healing – the medical/research advances , 2. Hopeful - focused around children and the future, and 3. Helping - focusing on overall philanthropy and lifestyle/behavior change for adults.

Families from the Greater Cleveland community will enjoy a fun-filled evening of learning about ways to make healthy life-style changes through increased physical activity and a proper diet to ensure that today’s generation of youth grows to be one of the healthiest. Our children are at risk. Nearly 10 million young people between the ages of 6 and 19 are obese. The American Heart Association is committed to stopping the increase in childhood obesity by 2010 and reversing the trend - putting all young people on a road to good adult health – by 2015.
Healing Heart Society ~ Research Reception- September 28, 2010
The research event will showcase how American Heart Association funds help local investigators to conduct studies to prevent and treat heart disease and stroke enabling people to live longer and healthier lives. The reception guests will learn how their dollars help to make a positive impact in our community through these life-saving research projects. Currently there are 49 projects being funded in Cleveland totaling $6.5 million. This is also an event to honor and recognize Cleveland based researchers that are chosen for presentations at Scientific Sessions (if applicable).

The American Heart Association’s Cleveland Heart Ball is an elegant evening of celebration of the AHA mission and the strides made to build healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. The Cleveland Heart Society campaign raises awareness about the risks of heart disease and stroke and provides funds for research using campaign dollars raised through corporate sponsorships, individual gifts (Open Your Heart), live, game booth bracelets, and silent auctions.
