Volunteers' Centre Zagreb (Croatia) is urgently looking for 3 volunteers who would be interested in a group EVS project

Volunteers' Centre Zagreb (Croatia) is urgently looking for 3 volunteers who would be interested in a group EVS project.

We have a group EVS project (for 3 available places) concerning 2 main themes: youth policies and urban/rural development and promotion of volunteerism and youth inclusion.

Through this group EVS project in the duration of one (1) year, VCZ would like to involve 3 international volunteers who will be committed in different types of activities. All of the activities evolves around the objectives of promoting volunteerism as an instrument of improving social inclusion and fighting poverty. They entail and strenghten values such as interculturality, social inclusion and human rights. They are devised so as to bring Croatian citizens, in particular youth, closer to European Union and its values.

This project includes the following main activities:

International volunteerism (Zagreb and other parts of Croatia, 1 year):

Promotion of international volunteerism (international workcamps, long and mid term exchange) through presentation in the media and specific places, like cultural centers, youth clubs and faculties in Zagreb.
Promotion of Youth in Action programme, specifically EVS, in Zagreb and other places in Croatia (during the workcamps) through presentations which will cover contents, theme, objectives and procedures of the Programme
Providing support in the organsation of workcamp season (communication with Croatian volunteers, communication with VCZ international partners, providing support trainings, workshops and other methods of youth education)
Leading international workcamps in Croatia and attending the Leader Training Seminar beforehand
Promotion and organisation of International volunteer day (5th December 2010)

Local volunteerism (Zagreb, 6 months):

Promotion of VCZ local activities (volunteer actions and long term volunteering in NGOs and public institutions) in media and variousvenues in Zagreb
Helping in production of VCZ promotion materials (leaflets, posters and especially VCZ bi-monthly bulletin)
Communication with Croatian volunteers interested in local volunteerism
Helping in the organisation of volunteer actions organised by VCZ and its local partners

Promotion of volunteerism in Croatia (Slatina, Kukljica, Zabok, Lovinac, Donji Srb; 6months)

VCZ and local partner organisations have created five (5) Volunteers' centres in different parts of Croatia (Slatina, Kukljica, Lovinac, Donji Srb and Zabok). The volunteer will be involved in helping these local organisations in their daily activities. Also he will be involved in devising and implementing a promotional campaign to increase the visibility of their programmes and activities in their respective communities.

Promotion of international volunteerism (international workcamps, long and mid term exchange) through presentation in the media and specific places, like cultural centers, youth clubs and libraries in 5 local communities
Promotion of Youth in Action programme, specifically EVS, in these communities
Helping in production of promotion materials of five Volunteers' centres
Helping local Volunteers' centres in the organisation and development of volunteer actions related to the specific backgrounds (kids, elderly, enviromental, homeless) of each local community.
