MINUTES: Motion was made to approve the minutes of October 2019 meeting by Steven Greeley, Jr..and was seconded by Scott Jacobson. Unanimously approved.

OFFICERS' REPORTS

TREASURER'S REPORT: Motion was made to approve the treasurer’s report by Jenette Schwemler and was seconded by Peter Carroll. Unanimously approved.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT'S REPORT:

Erin Frommes has looked into information pertaining to a camera. Erin would like to purchase a Canon camera at approximately $399.99. A motion was made to approve the purchase of a Canon camera up to $450.00 by Peter Carroll and was seconded by Scott Jacobson. Unanimously approved.

PRESIDENT'S REPORT:

Mat Perrone passed away. A resolution will be sent. A new resolution form was created. A motion was made to use the new resolution form by Jenette Schwemler and was seconded by Thomas Vaclavek. Unanimously approved. The resolution form is attached.
The McHenry County Bar Association received correspondence from the ARDC in relation to Alec J. Magafas. The information received by the McHenry County Bar Association is attached.

1^ST V.P.'S REPORT:

No report. The 1^st V.P. attended Mat Perrone’s wake.

2^ND V.P.'S REPORT:

No report. The 2^nd V.P. attended Mat Perrone’s wake.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

ADR/MEDIATION:

No report.

BYLAWS:

Not in attendance.

CIVIL PRACTICE:

Civil Practice had a good meeting last week.
The next meeting in January will have law updates.
The March meeting will have information in relation to taxes.

COMMISSION FOR PROFESSIONALISM:

January 22, 2020 at noon there will be a meeting for those interested in being a mentor or mentee.

CLE:

Not in attendance.

CRIMINAL PRACTICE:

Not in attendance. Please note that there will not be a meeting in the month of December and the next meeting will be in January.

FAMILY LAW:

Last month’s meeting was well attended. A thank you goes to all of the judges in attendance.
There will be no meeting for the month of December and the next meeting will be in January.

JUDICIARY/COURT RULES:

No report.

LAW DAY:

No report.

LEGAL AID:

The Help Desk started this past Monday and slots are still available.

Prairie State still has a few cases for people to take. Also, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving Prairie State will ask for donations.

LEGISLATIVE:

On the legislative side, the legal service tax did not make it out of committee.
The real estate transfer tax got voted down.

MEMBERSHIP/DIRECTORY:

Not in attendance; however, Ashur Youash, Allison Urbaszewski, Jason Blumenthal. A motion was made by Scott Jacobson to approve their membership and was seconded by Peter Carroll. Unanimously approved.

NEWSLETTER:

Erin did a great job getting the last newsletter together.
We can use more articles for the February 2020 newsletter.

OUTREACH:

No report.

REAL ESTATE LAW:

No report.

SOCIAL:

The holiday party is December 5, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a cash bar at the Crystal Lake Country Club. Please bring a toy for tots.

TECHNOLOGY:

Not in attendance.

YOUNG/NEW LAWYERS:

Not in attendance. .
