World’s Finest Automotive Bra Installation Instructions: C5 Corvette E-Brake Boot



Tools required: #15 torx screw driver, 10mm socket, 3” extension, ratchet, small pocket screw driver, needle nose pliers.

Parts included: none



Pre Installation


  1. Carefully read and follow instructions to ensure optimal performance

  2. Find a comfortable, well-lighted place to work.

  3. Find/create a safe place to temporarily stow each component you remove.

  4. Use a plastic bag or other tray to temporarily stow the fasteners you remove.

  5. Take your time.


Remove the “waterfall” (convertibles only) from between/behind the seats


  1. Remove the (4) #15torx screws.

  1. There are two (2) #15torx screws at the top, and one (1) screw on each side. Four total.

  2. Use the #15torx screwdriver to remove the screws.

  1. Pull the waterfall straight-up

  1. Remove waterfall from the car.

  2. Store waterfall in a safe place, so it does not get damaged.


Remove the center console section


  1. Open the door of the center console.

  2. Notice the two oval shaped plastic covers near the rear edge.

  1. Use the pocket screwdriver to pry-up the plastic covers.

  1. Notice the two 10mm nuts that attach the console to the body.

    1. Use the 10mm socket + 3” extension + ratchet to remove the 10mm nuts.

  2. Notice the small panel between the console lid and the shifter that houses the Active Handling button.

Note also that there are electrical connections beneath those buttons, so don’t pull far yet.

    1. Use the pocket screwdriver to pry-up that small panel.

  1. Disconnect the multiple plugs from the switches, and remove the small panel from the car.

  2. Notice the two(2) 10mm nuts (under the area where the small panel was located).

    1. Use the 10mm socket + 3” extension + ratchet to remove the 10mm nuts.

  3. Disconnect the multiple plug from the power port inside the console.

  4. Notice the fuel door switch is inside the console.

    1. It has an electrical connection beneath it, so don’t pull the console far yet.

  5. Slide the center console rear-ward and upward slightly, disconnect the multiple plug for the fuel door switch, and remove the center console from the car.

  6. Store center console in a safe place, so it does not get damaged.


Remove the shifter panel


  1. Notice the shifter panel is one piece that goes around the shifter, houses the ash-tray/cigarette lighter, goes around the radio and heater/ac controls, and off to the left around the ignition key.

  2. Open the cigarette lighter door, and remove the ash-tray.

  3. Notice two (2) #15torx screws.

  4. One screw is to the left of the cigarette lighter. The other is behind the ash-tray.

    1. Remove both screws.

  1. Notice to the left of the ignition key is a small panel with a grille.

    1. Use the pocket screw driver to pry-up the grille panel.

  2. Notice the #15torx screw behind that grill panel.

  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Lift-out the shifter panel.

  1. Set the parking brake.

  2. Take the key off the remote fob, and put the key-only in the ignition.

  3. Turn the key to the “on” position (don’t start the car).

  4. Step on the brake.

  5. Put the car in first gear.

  6. Turn the key ‘off’ as far as it will go (the key will not turn completely ‘off’ because the car is in first gear, not ‘park’).

  7. Notice there is an electrical connection for the cigarette lighter, so don’t pull far yet.

  8. Move/pull the shifter panel towards the rear of the car.

  9. Support/pull the 2 guide tabs over the stereo

  10. Disconnect the multiple plug for the cigarette lighter.

  11. Remove the shifter panel from the car.


E-Brake Handle Boot Removal


  1. Notice the two(2) 10mm nuts that attach the factory to the body.

  1. Use the 10mm socket + 3” extension + ratchet to remove the 10mm nuts.

  1. Notice the factory boot has hook-tape on the passenger side to attach the boot to the under side of the carpet.

  1. Un-mate the hook-tape from the carpet underside.

  1. Notice the orientation of the factory boot. Notice the factory boot sits at the last dip in the handle.

  1. Grasp the top of the factory boot (at the base of the e-brake handle) and twist/work the bootupward, over and off the e-brake handle.


SpeedLingerie E-Brake Boot Installation


  1. Orient the SL Boot in the same position as the factory boot.

  2. Twist/work the SpeedLingerie Boot over the e-brake handle.

  1. Stop at the last dip in the handle.

  1. Affix the hook-tape on the passenger side of the SpeedLingerie to the underside of the carpet.

  2. Align the two(2) holes in the plastic panel on the driver side of the SpeedLingerieTM with the two(2) studs.

  1. Use the 10mm socket + 3” extension + ratchet to re-install the two(2)10mm nuts.


Re-install the shifter pane

  1. Reverse directions of removal.


Re-install the Center Console


  1. Reverse directions of removal.


Re-install the Waterfall (convertibles only)


  1. Reverse directions of removal.


Final Adjustmen


  1. For full effect of SpeedLingerieTM design and glove-like fit, allow 72 hours for material(s) to relax and conform to vehicle’s curves.

  2. Park in a warm sunny spot with the SpeedLingerieTM on for a few days, to help the process.

  3. You may apply a quality vinyl conditioner if you so desire.


Care & Maintenance


  1. For best results, be sure that vehicle surfaces are clean and dry before installing SpeedLingerieTM.

  2. Clean outer vinyl surfaces of SpeedLingerieTM with a high quality conditioner during routine car maintenance.
