KOIN Discussion Questions
Having the chance to meet other KOIN members face-to-face presents an important opportunity to build relationships. ITV hosts can use the following questions to elicit more information about KOIN members who attend at their sites. KOIN members can adapt and use these questions at other meetings or venues.
Warm-up Discussion
After basic introductions (name, organization, population(s) they reach/serve), the following questions can be used to prompt additional discussion if time permits:
What prompted your involvement in the KOIN and how long have you been a KOIN member?
If you’ve participated in a KOIN activation, what was the experience like? What advice would you give to new KOIN members about activations?
What types of initiatives are you currently working on? (Note: Answers to this question may give participants ideas about how they can support one another by sharing information and resources.)
Do the people you serve have access to public health services and information?
Concluding Discussion
Would it be okay if we keep in touch periodically after today’s meeting?
Would you like to receive public health information to provide to the people you serve?
What is the best way to reach you? Will that method also reach you if there is a weekend or evening emergency?
Do you have a preference for how often you are contacted?
