How to Play:

Begin to view the show. The show will play automatically until you get to slide 4 where the game begins. You will need to click to advance from this point on.
Assign students to play the 9 characters. Give the students playing the characters the answers to their questions.
Divide the remainder of the class into 2 teams. Assign one team to represent “X” and one team to represent “O.”
Example: Team “X” chooses character 5. Click on the character. The question will appear. Allow the student who is playing the character to answer the question. Then Team “X” decides whether the answer is correct or not. Click anywhere on the question slide and the correct answer will appear. Click on the “Home” button. Put an “X” in square 5 if the team got the correct answer, put an “O” in square 5 if the team did not get the correct answer.
Continue playing until one of the team wins.
Click on the Round 2 button. This action will take you to the beginning of Round 2.

Variations:

Just ask questions and have the student answer them for the point.
1. If neither student knows the answer, call on the next or random students to answer until one team wins the point.

How to Edit:

There are 2 rounds in this game. You can edit the questions and answers by going to the appropriate slide, select the text that is already there, enter your own text.
All of the hyperlinks are already on the slides so you won’t have to change them.
Select File, Save As, and name your game.

HOW TO USE THIS ACTIVITY AS ASSESSMENT

As each student comes up, see how they answer it and grade them based on the quality of the answer. An easy way to make this into assessment is to have a prompt listed instead of a question for each character. Then, have the two contestants speak to each other according to the prompt. Whoever is able to speak more comprehensibly scores the point.
