Proverbs 3: 5, 6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. (NIV)
Questions to ask as you seek to Trust with all your heart and acknowledge Him in all my ways…
In the situation I’m facing, am I looking to the Lord first or does another method take top priority?
Do I thank & praise God for not only the good moments but also the seemingly bad times? (Psalm 34)
Do I open the pages of God’s Word for direction? (Psalm 119:105)
What is the second step?
As others watch my life, would they say the Lord Jesus takes center stage no matter what I may be going through?
Do I seek Godly counsel? (Proverbs 11:14)
Do I really believe that in and of myself, I do not have the strength or ability to deal with the issues of life and I must trust the Lord? (John 15:5)
Do I believe God has my best interests at heart and is always in control?
(I Peter 5:7)
We all desire pleasant circumstances, but that is not what God promises us. He does promise to work all things together “for the good of those who love Him.”
(Romans 8:28) It’s not our job to ask “why” when I don’t like my circumstances. My only job is to worship Him.
