Men’s Game of the Week – Thangs vs. Terminators (B League)
The Terminators and Thangs continued their heated rivalry; I should say the Thangs and the Khanminators continued their rivalry. Short a few players, the Terminators were forced to ask Miller and gasp, Khan to play for them. If you get a chance, look up the word desperation in the dictionary – I’m pretty sure that asking Khan to play for your team is the proper definition of desperation.
Anyways, back to the game. The Thangs escaped with 64 to 63 win in the tight-knit affair as Scott Pitts scored 24 and Eric Cocca added 16. Miller and Khan led the way for the Khanminators with 18 and 16 respectively.
Ladies Game of the Week – Vulcans vs. Grippers
The Vulcans, a new team with some veteran players debuted in the Ladies League and defeated the veteran Grippers 51 to 47. Powlovich and Mia Peak led the way for the Vulcans with 14 each, while Johnson added 13. Stensrud was the Grippers main scoring threat with 19 points.
Legend of the Week –Scott Pitts (Thangs)
See above. Every one of Pitts’ 24 points were needed for the Thangs to come away with the tough 1 point win.
Scotty goes into warp drive!
Other Stars in No Particular Order:
Tyson (HoundDogs) – Tyson managed to score a game high 23 points to lead the HoundDogs to a comfortable 62 to 35 win over the Inferno. Additionally, he did not bite anyone’s ear off. Is he REALLY playing in the B league?!
Peyrebrune (Money) – The Money defeated the WestCoasters 56 to 48 as Peyrebrune had 22 points.
Brandmark (Hoosiers) – In the Hoosiers tough 52 to 47 loss against the Khanmen, Brandmark was a force with 27 points.
Ladies Legend of the Week – Barkalow (Angels)
Thanks to Barkalow’s 23 points, the Angels needed no divine intervention to take care of the Wolves 57 to 44.
Melissa plans the attack!
Other Stars in No Particular Order:
J.A. Smith (Thunder) – The Thunder went all Wall Street on the Bankers and disposed of them 37 to 26 as Smith scored 16.
Stensrud (Grippers) – See above.
