Response from the British Association of Dermatologists

Dermatologists seldom have occasion for using leflunomide and although it may confer benefit to the psoriasis it has many side effects and is not an agent we would use except in exceptional circumstances. Nevertheless Dermatologists would be seeing patients with psoriatic arthritis and should be aware of the antirheumatic therapies being recommended or otherwise. These could also potentially interact with skin directed therapy. We would therefore like the opportunity to comment on the draft proposals and to have at least a commentator status.
