Making It Work


Module IV of this professional development program is designed to be conducted in a face-to-face or online environment. It is intended to fit within two 3.75 hour days. These two follow-up dates should be scheduled at equal intervals during the school year following the completion of Modules I through IV.

Achievement Data Comparison Chart

Lesson Seeds requiring the infusion of technology

Outcome 1: Participants will share technology-infused activities which they have used in their classroom as a result of knowledge gained in Modules I through IV.


Suggested timeframe: 1.25 hours.


Activities

Materials/Links

  • Participants will share with the group the technology-infused activities which they have implemented in their classrooms and relate each to the appropriate content from Modules I through IV which was the impetus of each activity.

  • Participants will submit to facilitator as per directions a list of the technology-infused activities which they have implemented in their classrooms and the relationship of each to the appropriate content from Modules I through IV.




Outcome 2: Participants will justify the success of these activities by comparing achievement data, before and after the infusion of technology.


Suggested timeframe: 1.25 hours.

Materials/Links

  • Participants will complete the Achievement Data Comparison Chart for their class, using date pre- and post-technology infusion.

  • Participants will share their results with the group.

  • Participants will submit to facilitator their Achievement Data Comparison Chart as per directions.

Outcome 3: Participants will revise existing classroom activities to reflect the infusion of technology.


Suggested timeframe: 1.25 hours.


Activities

Materials/Links

  • Participants will revise 3 “lesson seeds” to improve achievement using the MTLSS. Within each “seed,” participants justify their use of technology and account for UDL and Assistive Technology.

  • Participants choose one of the “lesson seeds” created and expand it into a full lesson plan (using a template required by the LEA, or the one provided in Module IV).

  • Participants submit “lesson seeds” and expanded lesson plan to facilitator as per directions.
