APICS Affiliated Student Chapter - Chapter Minimum Standards (ASC-CMS)
Submission Form
(Submit by April 30)
Purpose:
As with the professional chapter guidelines “The primary purpose of the Chapter Minimum Standards is to enhance the growth, development, and value-added of APICS student chapters by evaluating each student chapter against a set of criteria that is felt to have a direct and positive impact on chapter performance” (page 4, C-BAR: Minimum Standards for Chapter Maintenance Chapter Benchmarking and Reporting). These items reflect a level of performance needed to be a minimally viable APICS Affiliated Student Chapters (ASC’s). ASC’s not reaching these standards would be considered “distressed” and in need of immediate intervention from their local “parent” chapter and district.
These minimum standards reflect the five categories of the Student Chapter Management Program: Administration, Education, Programs, Membership, and Public Relations. Financial/Budgetary metrics are not included as part of the minimum standards as ASC’s are not considered to be revenue producing entities. However, any relevant fund management would be subject to their college/university standards.
