TEACHER LIBRARY CARDS

Teacher library cards are available to help Burlingame and Hillsborough teachers use library resources with large groups in the classroom. If you are a teacher in a Burlingame or Hillsborough school, you are eligible for a special teacher card. You must have a personal library card to be eligible for a teacher card.

Key points to know about your special teacher library card:

Your Teacher Card may be used only at the Main Burlingame Public Library for materials in the Main Burlingame Public library collection.
Your Teacher Card may be used only for classroom materials and is not for personal use.
There are no overdue fines on materials checked out on your Teacher Card for use in the classroom.
Since this card is for use of materials at the Main Burlingame Public Library, all holds for materials from other libraries must be placed on your personal card.
Online renewals are easy at www.burlingame.bibliocommons.com. You may check out most materials for three weeks, and usually you may renew them up to five times.
Use of the teacher card is a privilege and may be revoked if not used properly.
We pull collections of books by subject for teachers. Please give us a week’s notice if possible and call the Children’s Desk with your request – 650-558-7400, ext. 3.
As with your personal library card, you are responsible for all materials checked out on your card that are lost, damaged, or not returned.
