SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY!

Your dependants and those of other “OUR COMPANY“ employees have an opportunity to apply for one of fifteen (15) Chicago Association of Spring Manufacturers, Inc.(CASMI) scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each for undergraduate study. In addition, we offer one (Primary Members only) in the amount of $2,500, the Terry and Jerry Reese Postgraduate Scholarship to students enrolled in an advanced degree or a professional degree program. (A student may not apply for undergraduate and graduate study in the same year.)

The scholarship program is sponsored by the CASMI, of which we are a member company. Since the program began in 1989, CASMI has awarded a total of $881,000 in scholarships!

Applicants must be dependents of full-time employees, of companies who are CASMI members in good standing, with a minimum of one year of service at the time of the application deadline.

HOW ARE SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS SELECTED?

The CASMI Scholarship Program is managed entirely by Scholarship Management Services, a division of not-for-profit Scholarship America. Awards will be based on the applicant's past educational performance and future potential, school and community activities, work experience, career and educational aspirations and goals, and unusual personal or family circumstances.

All information secured through the application process will be treated with total confidentiality. Only personnel of Scholarship Management Services will review all data, personal and academic. No one from "OUR COMPANY", CASMI staff or officers, or any other CASMI member company will see your child's confidential application.

HOW DO WE APPLY?

You will also find complete details and history on the CASMI Scholarship Program on the CASMI website at https://www.casmi-springworld.org/page/Scholarship. If you have a qualifying applicant, don’t delay. It will take some time to complete the application, which must be completed by May 2, 2022.

The importance of our children's education continues to grow, but educational costs seem to grow even more rapidly. A CASMI Scholarship could be a big help in reducing those costs. We strongly encourage you to apply if you have a child who is attending or plans to attend any of the many schools that qualify.

These awards once finalized and announced will actually be paid out directly to the schools in time for the school year beginning Fall of 2022. I look forward to the honor and delight of announcing that one of these scholarships has been awarded to your child!
