Class Expectations

1 PARKWAY SOUTH HIGH SCHOOL BIOLOGY 1 KERHARDTPARKWAYSCHOOLSNET MRS KATHY . Be on time for class and stay in class. (be in your seat when the bell rings). Restroom and water breaks should be taken care of during passing time only.

2. Be considerate of others, by not talking while I am talking or while others are asking or answering questions. AND by putting away your cell phone. OR RISK Cell Phone JAIL!!!

3. Be prepared for class. This means bring your book, paper, notebooks, and pen/pencil.

4. Be respectful of materials in our room. Follow all safety rules and procedures.

5. Be honest – If you are caught cheating on a Test, Lab, Homework, Or any Class assignment you will receive a ZERO on that assignment and will not be allowed to make up, redo, or retake the assignment.

6. Be aware of safety at all times. This means abide by safety contracts. Must pass safety quiz with 80% or better.

Class Procedures

1. Class will start immediately after the bell rings. You need to be ready with paper, pencil, and book. Look on the board for directions.

2. Check Google Classroom if you are absent from class or if you can’t remember class assignments.

3. Assignments will be turned in on date due, if late there will be points deducted from the assignment 10% off for each day late up to 50% off. No late work will be excepted after the unit is over. If you are turning in late work, be sure to put the date due, date turned in, and reason why it’s late at the top of the assignment.

4. It is your responsibility to put your names on your paper. If no name then the paper is missing or late.

5. You will need to keep an organized notebook. I will check it during the semester for a grade or extra credit.

6. When you are absent obtain missed work from Google Classroom and be ready to turn in work the day you return.

Grading Procedures for Mrs. Erhardt

Your grade is based on all work done for class, including homework, quizzes, labs, exams, and class participation. Grades are broken down as follows.

90-100% A

80-89% B

70-79% C

60-69% D

Below 60% F

40% Learning Activities: Homework, Quizzes, In Class Assignments, Notebook Checks, Labs, and Participation.

50% Performance Events: Exams, Quizzes, Major Projects, and Labs.
10% Cumulative Final Exam
