COMPUTERIZED WORK ORDER SYSTEM (MAXIMO)

The Division of Maintenance uses Maximo for work order management. School staff use the system to submit work requests. Requests are electronically routed to area maintenance depots where they are assigned to appropriate trades shops. Work is scheduled and completed then records of labor and materials used are entered onto the original work request.

The work order system allows for better planning and management of materials and labor as well as enables the division to track work by type, facility, and urgency, among other parameters. This tracking helps with forecasting of future maintenance needs and plan for facility asset replacement.

School users should include: the building service manager, plant equipment operator and either the media specialist or media assistant. Other users may include the assistant building service manager, financial or business person, and an administrative secretary. Teaching staff are not permitted to have a Maximo account.

Requests for Maximo user accounts should be emailed to Richard Cox in the Division of Maintenance. The requests need to include the person’s name, employee ID number, school phone number, school name, and position.

Training material is available on request and one course is currently offered through PDO (Basic Maximo Training)
