PROCEEDINGS OF THE HAMILTON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

REGULAR MEETING

The Hamilton County Board of Supervisors met in regular on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 9:00 A.M. in the Boardroom of the Hamilton County Courthouse, Webster City, Iowa.


CALL TO ORDER: Called to order by Chair Doug Bailey.


PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Board led the Pledge of Allegiance.


MEMBERS PRESENT: David Young, Wesley Sweedler, and Doug Bailey.


OTHERS PRESENT: Pat Powers, Dan Waid, and Kim Schaa.


AGENDA: Motion by Sweedler, seconded by Young to approve the agenda. Motion carried.


MINUTES: Motion by Young, seconded by Sweedler to approve the minutes of the May 14, 2013 meeting. Motion carried.



CLAIMS: General Basic Fund $95,982.23; General Basic (Public Health) Fund $28,909.89; General Basic (Conservation) Fund $58,087.97; General Supplemental Fund

$32,045.23; General Supplemental Public Health Sub Fund $6,951.71; General

Supplemental Conservation Sub Fund $4,260.62; MH-DD Services Fund $224,049.22; Rural Basic Fund $24,129.06; Recorders Records Management Fund $528.45; Secondary Roads Fund $353,944.99; Capital Projects Fund $3,058.38; Friends of Conservation Expense Trust Fund $104.47. Total $832,052.22. Drainage Fund $37,563.51. Motion by Young, seconded by Sweedler to approve payment of claims. Motion carried.


APPLICATIONS:

FIREWORKS PERMIT: Motion by Sweedler, seconded by Young to approve fireworks permits for Marlin & Diane Claude on July 6, 2013 and Hamilton County Conservation on July 5, 2013. Motion carried.


CIGARETTE/TOBACCO PERMIT: Motion by Sweedler, seconded by Young to approve said permits for Pilot Travel Center and Boondocks USA both located near Williams. Motion carried.

CONTRACTS/

AGREEMENTS: SOLUTIONS, INC: Motion by Young, seconded by Sweedler to approve the fiscal year ’14 support agreement with Solutions, Inc. Motion carried unanimously.


COOPERATIVE REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT: Motion by Sweedler, seconded by Young to authorize the chair to sign said agreement for the Child Support Recovery Unit. Motion carried.


SET DATE FOR PUBLIC

HEARING: Motion by Young, seconded by Sweedler to set June 11, 2013 at the regular board meeting at 9:00 a.m. as the date and time for a public hearing on a construction permit for Summit Pork LLP – Independence 1. Motion carried.



ADJOURN: Motion by Young, seconded by Sweedler to adjourn. Motion carried, meeting adjourned at 9:11 A.M.
