  • Understand the legal side of employment, standards, workplace safety and insurance and occupational health/safety, 

  • Identify and analyze  main provisions of (Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, Human Rights Code, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act).

  • Examine and apply employment law principles

  • Develop skills in advocacy, and use it in employment law administrative settings.

  • Identify defences available in prosecutions under employment legislation.
