Administrative tasks (translation):
Report to the Executive Assistant of the President of the company and dotted line report to the IT Manager in New York. Direct contact with the President, Directors, Associates, Researches and Assistants.
Responsible for all translations of the company under the practices of Industry, Consumer Goods, Technology, Human Resources, Finance, Health Care, Private Equity, including all documents such as résumés, candidate letters, references, projects specifications, positions, agreements, proposal letters, etc.
Responsible for the transcription of tapes (reference check), and for the translation of these references, when needed.
Responsible for the preparation of résumés, for clients' presentations.
IT tasks:
Responsible for imaging all the computers of the company with Windows7 software, with the manager responsible for this project, who is based in NY.
Responsible for replacing all phones of the company with new ones (Cisco) and work with the manager responsible for this project in case the phones didn’t update.
Assisted on the implementation of a new database program, which was implemented on June 10th, 2011. Worked with 2 people from NY who came to São Paulo, helped the Training Point Person to deliver trainings, and coached the main executives of the company on how to work with the new program.
Closed a deal with our mobile carrier, resulting in a relevant cost reduction for the company, plus 18 new Blackberries model 8310 (2009).
Renewal of our mobile plan for the company, resulting in 8 new blackberries model Bold 9000 (2010).
Cleaning of the new mobile plan (we had too many numbers which were not being used), including a new cost plan, with new prices and packages, and purchase of 7 new Blackberry Bold 9700 (2011).
Negotiated with our local mobile carrier on a new plan with new blackberry devices, in less than 2 years, resulting in a reduction of the call minute from 0,25 to 0,21 cents, plus 22 new blackberry devices, model Curve 9300 (Apr/2012).
Support in the rollout project (Jan/2010) with 3 partners from New York – a Training Manager, an Engineer Manager, and a Help Desk Specialist – we had all our computers changed, plus hardware and software, including Office 2007 package, plus training and floor support for the whole company after the go live date.
Support to all people of the company relating to computer issues, that is, issues related to office package (word, outlook, excel), system problems (the company has its own softwares – Beacon and Hummingbird, plus windows general issues, i.e. install/uninstall softwares, etc.), telephone issues, including blackberries, plus enterprise activation for these blackberries (total of 18 blackberry users in the company).
Communication interface with the people from NY every day (Help Desk, IS Coordinators, IS Manager).

I currently work as a freelance translator for Bravo Estúdios, a dubbing and subtitling company. I have translated programs such as “30 Minutes Meal with Rachael Ray”, “16 Kids and Counting”, “When Vacations Attack”, for NatGeo.
I help Google on their translation tool as a volunteer – I translate phrases and words into Portuguese.
I translated the website Unión de Los Pibes (http://www.uniondelospibes.org/) into Portuguese as a volunteer. Club Unión de Los Pibes is a non-profit project located in Buenos Aires.
Worked as an freelance translator for EasyTs, a translation company in Brazil; MAM (Museu de Arte Moderna) – Museum of Modern Art in São Paulo, and Intellibiz (translation company) - www.intellibiz.com.br, in the latter participated as a translator for the site How Stuff Works (www.howstuffworks.com);
Translated the site HIG Capital (www.higcapital.com), a leading global private equity firm.
Work as a translator for AMARA website (www.amara.org), as a volunteer translating movies/videos and putting the translation into subtitles. I don’t earn money doing this, I do it because I like it.
