The Aims of the Group are:

To support the work of the Elphinstone Institute and its objectives: to study, record and promote the cultural traditions and language of communities in the North and North East of Scotland.

To establish closer ties between the Elphinstone Institute and communities in the North and North East of Scotland

To help the Elphinstone Institute raise funds.

If you would like to become a Friend of the Institute or renew your membership (due in September), please enter your details below and include an annual membership fee of £12.00 (or US $20.00) made out to ‘The Friends of the Elphinstone Institute’ and post to: The Secretary, The Friends of the Elphinstone Institute, The Elphinstone Institute, MacRobert Building, University of Aberdeen, Aberdeen, AB24 5UA, Scotland.

You will receive newsletters and a copy of the constitution (new members only). There is an annual Ballad Bus outing; and open evening at the Elphinstone Institute.
