PCR230 manual
PCR230 is a proximity reader with PC AT keyboard interface. PCR230 has provided keyboard pass-through circuit. So PCR230 can communicate with PC and keyboard via the cable WAS1407 and WAS1407A.
When you installed as next chapter, the reader’s READY LED will light green and buzzer beep. It is continuously monitoring the presence of a tag in its readable range. Once a tag enters its readable range, then the reader will read the data from the tag. At the same time, the READY LED will turn off for a while and buzzer beeps. After PCR230 sends out the data completely, the READY LED resume green status. If that tag has not even left its readable range, it should not read that tag again. The same tag must leaves its readable range about 1 second, and have that tag re-enter its readable range, it will read again. But if use another tag, different from the one read, then don’t need to wait 1 second to read another tag.
Connect PCR230 between the keyboard and the PC.
Once done, PCR230 will light READY LED and beep.
WAS-1407A is an optional adaptor.
When PCR230 reads a tag, it will send tag’s data to PC by keyboard port.
PCR230 provides 4 DIP switch on the bottom.
