Annex B: “Starlit Christmas” by Orchard Road Business Association
Introduction / Theme
For the last 26 years, Singapore’s Orchard Road Christmas Light-up has been an anchor event during the nation’s year-end Christmas In The Tropics celebration.
This year, the Orchard Road Business Association (ORBA) presents a ‘Starlit Christmas’ on A Great Street from Sat 20 Nov 2010 to Sun 2 Jan 2011.
The theme was picked because the STAR is an eternal symbol of all that is good and beautiful in the universe. It is also an irreplaceable icon of Yuletide love, peace and joy, and a reminder of all the reasons for everyone from all walks of life to play a part in the Christmas celebrations.
As fresh hope and optimism returns to our nation, the million stars hung high and glittering over-street on Orchard Road will spread cheer and warm hearts this Christmas.
This year also marks Hitachi’s support as main sponsor of the Christmas Light-Up for the 20th year. ORBA is also grateful to VISA and the Official Card; and Tiffany & Co. as the Official Jeweller of Christmas Light-Up 2010.
