CAROLS FOR CHRISTMAS PLAY MARY’S BOY CHILD

Mary’s Boy Child

A long time ago in Bethlehem so the Holy Bible says,

Mary’s boy child, Jesus Christ, was born on Christmas Day.

Chorus

Hark now hear the angels sing, “A new king born today”

And man will live forever more because of Christmas Day.

Trumpets sound and angels sing, listen to what they say ….

That man will live for ever more because of Christmas Day.

While shepherds watch their flocks by night,

They see a bright new shining star.

They hear a choir sing a song, the music seems to come from afar.

Now Joseph and his wife Mary come to Bethlehem that night.

They find no place to lay the child, not a single room in sight.

CHORUS

By and by they find a little nook in a stable so forlorn,

And in a manger cold and dark Mary’s little boy was born.

CHORUS

How Can This Be?

How can this be?

Why have you chosen me?

How can this be?

Why have you chosen me?

Lord I will do all that you ask me to.

May all your words and promises come true.

Praise be to God

Holy is His name.

This servant girl

Will never be the same.

Lord we will do

All that you ask us to.

May all your words and promises come true.

Little Donkey

Little donkey, little donkey, on the dusty road,

Got to keep on plodding onwards, with your precious load.

Been a long time, little donkey, through the winter’s night,

Don’t give up now, little donkey, Bethlehem’s in sight.

Chorus:

Ring out those bells tonight, Bethlehem, Bethlehem.

Follow that star tonight, Bethlehem, Bethlehem.

Little donkey, little donkey, had a heavy day,

Little donkey carry Mary safely on her way.

Little donkey, little donkey journey’s end is near.

There are wise men waiting for a sign to bring them here.

Do not falter, little donkey, there’s a star ahead,

It will guide you, little donkey, to a cattle shed. Chorus

We Have Travelled

Where will they find a place for the night?

Somewhere to rest ‘til dark turns to light.

They are three wise men, they have now come,

Looking for God’s own son.

CAROLS FOR CHRISTMAS PLAY MARY’S BOY CHILD

We have travelled very far

We have followed the guiding star.

We have treasure to present,

Gold and Myrrh and Frankincense

When we find Him we will bring

Our precious gifts to the baby king

Of Gold and Myrrh and Frankincense

Gold and Myrrh and Frankincense.

They have travelled very far

They have followed the guiding star.

They have treasure to present,

Gold and Myrrh and Frankincense

When they find Him they will bring

Their precious gifts to the baby king

Of Gold and Myrrh and Frankincense

Gold and Myrrh and Frankincense.

Away in a Manger

Away in a manger, no crib for a bed,

The little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head.

The stars in the bright sky looked down where he lay,

The little Lord Jesus, asleep on the hay.

The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes,

But little Lord Jesus, no crying he makes.

I love thee Lord Jesus, look down from the sky,

And stay by my bedside ‘till morning is nigh.

Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask thee to stay,

Close by me forever and love me, I pray.

Bless all the dear children in thy tender care,

And take us to heaven to live with thee there.

Silent Night

Silent night, holy night!

All is calm, all is bright.

‘Round yon Virgin Mother and Child.

Holy Infant, so tender and mild,

Sleep in heavenly peace!

Sleep in heavenly peace!

CHRISTMAS MEDLEY

Jingle Bells

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way,

Oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh.

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way,

Oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh.

When Santa Got Stuck Up the Chimney

When Santa got stuck up the chimney,

He began to shout,

“You girls and boys won’t get any toys,

If you don’t pull me out.

My beard is black,

There’s soot in my sack

My nose is tickling too”.

When Santa got stuck up the chimney,

A-choo! A-choo! A-choo!

Winter Wonderland

Sleigh bells ring, are you listenin’?

In the lane, snow is glistenin’,

A beautiful sight, we’re happy tonight,

Walking in a winter wonderland.

Frosty the Snowman

Frosty the Snowman

Was a jolly happy soul.

With a corncob pipe and a button nose

And two eyes made out of coal.

Frosty the Snowman

Is a fairytale they say.

He was made of snow,

But the children know

How he came to life one day

All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front teeth

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth

My two front teeth

Yes my two front teeth.

You see if I could only have my two front teeth

Then I could wish you Merry Christmas

I Saw Mummy Kissing Santa Claus

I saw mummy kissing Santa Claus

Underneath the mistletoe last night

She didn’t see me creep

Down the stairs to have a peep

She thought that I was locked up

In my bedroom fast asleep.

I saw mummy tickle Santa Claus

Underneath his beard so snowy white

Oh what a laugh it would have been

If daddy had only seen

Mummy kissing Santa Claus last night

We Wish You a Merry Christmas

We wish you a merry Christmas,

We wish you a merry Christmas,

We wish you a merry Christmas,

And a Happy New Year.

Good tidings we bring,

For you and your kin,

We wish you a merry Christmas,

And a Happy New Year.
