        2. REFERENCES

          1. General:

            1. The following documents form part of the Specifications to the extent stated. Where differences exist between codes and standards, the one affording the greatest protection shall apply.

            2. Unless otherwise noted, the referenced standard edition is the current one at the time of commencement of the Work.

            3. Refer to Division 01 Section "General Requirements" for the list of applicable regulatory requirements.

        3. SUBMITTALS

          1. Submit under provisions of Division 01 Section "General Requirements."

          2. Product Data: Submit 7 copies of manufacturer's product data for extinguishers, cabinets and brackets.

          3. Shop Drawings: Submit 7 copies clearances, depth required for recessed cabinets and installation details.

  2. PRODUCTS

        1. Manufacturers

          1. J. L. Industries, Larsen's Manufacturing Co., or Potter-Roemer.

        2. Materials

          1. Larsen catalog numbers are given to establish style, size and features required, unless indicated otherwise.

            1. Extinguishers: DC5, multi-purpose dry chemical type, 3-A:40-B:C rated (UL), as manufactured by Badger, no substitutions.

            2. Cabinets: Cameo Series, fully recessed with 5/16 inch (8 mm) flat trim, white enamel finish, clear bubble with black silk-screened vertical lettering, "Fire Extinguisher".

              1. In fire-rated partitions: FS C2409-R.

              2. In non-rated partitions: C2409-R.

            3. Brackets (Wall Mounted): As manufactured by Larsen and compatible with specified extinguisher.

  3. EXECUTION

        1. CONDITION OF SURFACES

          1. Verify that setting conditions are correct to receive each item. Commencing work implies acceptance of existing conditions.

        2. INSTALLATION

          1. Cooperate with trades whose work adjoins, backs up or fits into Work of this Section.

          2. Install items in accord with manufacturer's directions and recommendations. Where details apparently require departures from these directions, secure instructions before proceeding.
