Subject: Projection Analysis Time-line: Job #33333

Introduction

Regarding your request, on February 20, 2013, for a projection of the timeline for completing the turnaround revamp of the painting system, job # 33333, an analysis showed a two month competition time, from March 3 – May 9, 2013. The investigation included 8 major factors: hiring, local training, transporting equipment, man hours, clean up, local inspection, walk though, and final inspection.

Analysis

The following explains the finding of the analysis:

Hiring- hiring is a 7 day duration, extending from March 3 - March 10, 2013.

Local training- local training is a 3 day duration, extending from March 12 - March 15, 2013. Local training begins 2 days after the completion of hiring.

Transporting Equipment- transporting equipment is a 23 day duration, extending from March 16 - April 8, 203. Transporting equipment begins 1 (one) day after the completion of local training.

Man hours- man hours is a 37 day duration, extending from March 16 - April 22, 2013. Man hours overlapped 14 days with transporting equipment.

Clean up- clean up is a 7 day duration, April 23 - April 30, 203. Clean up begins 1 (one) day after the completion of man hours.

Local inspection- local inspection is a 1 (one) day duration, May 2 - May 3, 2013. Local inspection begins 2 days after the completion of clean up.

Walk through- walk through is a 1 (one) day duration, May 5 - May6, 2013. Walk though begins 2 days after the completion of local inspection.

Final inspection- final inspection is a 2 day duration, May 7 - May 9, 2013. Final inspection begins 1 (one) day after walk through.

Considerations

The 10 day duration for hiring was calculated on hiring highly skilled workers. Therefore, the training would only focus on company policies and OSHA rules and regulations. Also, the 23 day duration for transportation of equipment would rely on specific equipment being available during the projected dates. Company staff will clean up site after man hours are completed. Company transport staff will deliver equipment to the site and unload equipment.

Limitations

Although the 11.5 week projected timeline considered moderate weather conditions, severe weather could impact the projected timeline. Extended periods of heavy rain were not considered in the projected timeline.
