Conjugating regular –er verbs
verb-it’s what you do !
parler * écouter * aimer
are all in the infinitive form. They are called regular –er verbs because they follow a regular pattern.
French verbs change endings with each subject. This is called conjugation.
Here’s how to conjugate regular –er verbs:
1. Form the stem: drop the –er from the infinitive.
