KF’s Support Program for Korean Studies e-Resources
In response to the growing significance of online resources for education and research purposes, the Korea Foundation provides program support to eligible universities to offset the user/subscription fees that are required to access online Korean Studies resources, for the benefit of Korea-related scholars and graduate students.
Outline of the KF’s Support Program for Korean Studies e-Resources
Eligible Applicants
Institutions eligible to apply for program support include four-year universities that maintain a Korean Studies department, Korean Studies or Korean language programs, or East Asian programs with a Korean component.
Scope of Support
1. Up to 50% of the user/subscription fees for accessing Korean studies e-resources.
2. Program support per university is limited to $5,000
※ The Foundation decides the final amount of the grant, depending on available program funding.
3. Grant Period: 12 months
4. Under this program, applicable e-resources include online databases, e-journals, e-books, and other online resources offered by public institutions or private parties, such as

Selection
of Recipients
The
priority and amount of program assistance for an applicant will be
determined by the Foundation’s screening committee, based on
such factors as an applicant’s number of Korean Studies
scholars and students, extent of usage of Korean Studies e-resources.
Program Procedure
Application deadline: January
Notification of the result: February
Submission of the annual report: December
※ Subscription fee negotiation with the DB venders should be finalized before the application.
