Camogie Association Coach Developer training course 2018/2019.
The Camogie Association will be holding a Coach Developer training course for our Coach Education programme on the following weekends in 2018. Applicants who wish to become Coach Developers must complete the application form and send to [email protected] by Friday the 17th of August 2018.
CDC 35 (taking place in limerick)
Weekend 1 October 6th & 7th (2018)
Weekend 2 November 3rd & 4th (2018)
Weekend 3 December 1st & 2nd (2018)
Weekend 4 January 5th & 6th (2019)
Weekend 5 February 2nd & 3rd (2019)
Criteria to become coach developer.
Applicants must be aged 23 and over by Jan 1st 2018.
All coach developers must be free to attend all course weekends.
Hold a Level 2 or above coaching award (or equivalent) and be an active, experienced coach (5+ years) at appropriate levels
OR
Experience of tutoring/facilitating learning of adults or young people for recognised NGB’s/organisations
Overnight accommodation on the Saturday night only will be at the Camogie Association expense. (Travel expenses not included.)
We would ask all applicants to consider their availability to developer on courses post completion of the 5 weekends. The delivery time requirements for developers on our foundation course is 8 hours this excludes travel and preparation time. The level 1 course is 12 hours, this excludes travel and preparation time.
The majority of the Camogie Coach education courses take place on Friday evenings 7pm-10pm and Saturday 9:30am -5pm, we would ask all applicants to note this before applying, as each developer once qualified must deliver a minimum of 5 foundation courses within 12 months of finishing the developer course in November 2019.
A financial commitment of €200 must be made by each applicant on acceptance on to the course (in advance of participating in the course) This will be reimbursed to all qualified developers once they fully comply with points 2&5 .
Only fully completed application forms will be considered.
Each Coach Developer who successfully completes the 5 weekends will receive a recognised Coaching Ireland Tutor qualification.
