Who thought getting dressed could be this much fun?

Age: 2+ years

You will need:

Room to move a little
A few pieces of clothing to make up different possible outfits that you and your child will get dressed in

Instructions:

Place clothes in different corners of the room. Get your child to watch you do this – so that they know that it’s a game between you both and that you are playing the game too.
Select some music (Putumayo kids music from around the world is great).
Listen to the music with your child and ask your child what it’s telling you to do. Does the music want you to slide, roll, jump or swim across the room to put on each piece of clothing?
Try these moves together to the music.

Performance:

Now re-set the room and take turns to do the get-dressed dance and marvel at your child’s ability to hear and interpret the universal language of music.

Take a photo of your favourite move or outfit as a souvenir.
