NRCCUA & NAIA Champions of Character
Scholarship Guidelines
Scholarships made possible by
The National Research Center for College & University Admissions (NRCCUA) has partnered with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) to provide Champions of Character $1000 scholarships to five graduating high school seniors throughout the country who will be attending NAIA institutions in the fall.
Students interested in applying for a scholarship must:
Complete the application form.
Submit a two page essay on how one of the NAIA Champions of Character values (respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership or sportsmanship) has impacted their life through sport.
Submit one nomination form from a teammate, coach, counselor or teacher that bares witness to the applying student’s character.
Deadline to Submit:
All scholarship applications and materials need to be to the NAIA National Office no later than Friday, May 12, 2006. Recipients will be announced on Wednesday, May 31, 2006.

An NAIA committee will review all applications and select five scholarship recipients. Once the selection process is complete an NAIA staff member will call and notify each award winner.

NOTE: Verification will be made of enrollment at the designated NAIA institution for all awardees, once verified the scholarship will be forwarded directly to that institution.
