Sponsors must review each afterschool meals/snack program two times per school year [National School Lunch Program (NSLP) 7 CFR 210.9(c)(7) and Child and Adult Food Care Program (CACFP) 7 CFR 226.16(d)]. The first review must be conducted during the first four weeks that the site is in operation. These reviews must assess each site’s compliance with counting and claiming procedures, and the meals/snack meal pattern. Documentation of the completed reviews must be kept on file for audit/review.
