R osewood Downs Primary School
Uniform School Policy
Rationale:
Rosewood Downs Primary School Council has determined that the wearing of a uniform will be compulsory. A uniform promotes equality amongst all students and develops a sense of pride in and clearly identifies students within the community. Our uniform is durable, practical and cost effective and provides clothing items, which are in accordance with school activities and the SunSmart program
The purpose of having a school uniform is to:
ensure that the students’ appearance reflects the expectations of the community.
prevent bullying and reduce competition between students on the basis of clothing.
provide durable clothing that is cost effective and practical for our school environment.
maintain and enhance, the positive image of the school in the community.
Guidelines:
The dress code/ uniform policy will apply during school hours, whilst travelling to and from school, when students are on school excursions and at inter-school sporting events such as Gala Days.
