BENCHES AND PEDESTALS



BENCHES: Provide manufacturer's standard 1-1/4" thick x 9-1/2" wide mixed hardwood bench tops in varying lengths. Bench tops to be double-coated with a satin gloss sealer for protection on tops and sides with one coat of sealer on underside. Provide all fastening hardware.


ADA BENCHES: Provide benches 24" wide x 48" long which are attached to the wall along the longer dimension with two brackets. Two heavy duty pedestals are required below the front edge of each bench top. If brackets are not provided, an acceptable alternative is to use four heavy duty pedestals (one at each corner).


HEAVY DUTY PEDESTAL: Provide heavy duty, bell-shaped, cast iron pedestals. Base diameter of 8" is threaded for 1-1/2" pipe. The pedestal is secured to the floor with a 1/2" x 5" concealed concrete anchor. Overall pedestal height is 16". Misty Gray powder coat is standard with color choice available.


STANDARD DUTY PEDESTAL: Provide standard duty pedestal constructed of 1-5/16" tubing which is welded to a 7-3/4" diameter base and top flange. All parts are finished with zinc plating. Overall pedestal height is 16-1/4".


MOVEABLE PEDESTAL: Provide moveable pedestal of gold anodized aluminum channel 1/8" thick x 3" wide. The trapezoidal shape measures 13-3/4" at the base. Overall pedestal height is 16". To guard against skidding and scratching, a nonabrasive rubber pad is attached tot he bottom of each leg. Provide all fastening hardware. Note: Moveable pedestals available for use on 6 ft. benches and longer only.
