The Belarusian State Concern for Oil and Chemistry (Concern Belneftekhim) comprises largest enterprises that substantially influence the economic potential of the Republic of Belarus and to some extent the world market.

The petrochemical complex is an important sector of the economy of the Republic. The concern is composed of 50 enterprises with the total number of employees over 100,000. The share of concern enterprises in total industrial output of the Republic of Belarus is about one fifth and in total exports of the Republic is about one third. The main products of the Concern enterprises meet world standards and are much in demand. More than 60 per cent of their production is delivered to the world market. OJSC "Beloozersk electromechanical plant" is one of the leading companies in the energy industry for the production of spare parts and equipment for thermal, electrical, nuclear and hydroelectric power plants. The Company has its own design and production base, has a license to design and manufacture the equipment operating under pressure: hot water boilers with water temperature up to 115 °C, steam boilers with pressure up to 0.9 MPa, steam boilers with pressure up to 30 MPa, hot water boilers with thermal performance of up to 209.3 MW and their components (combustion devices, collectors, shells, pipes within the boiler, bottoms, tube sheets.) The main fields of activity:

• development and manufacture of equipment for fuel feeding (wood chips, sawdust, shavings, milled peat, crushed peat, draft machines, metal structures, gas-air conduits, air heaters);

• production of the screen and convective surfaces of energy boilers;

• manufacture of power transformers rated at 2.5 MVA, 6.3 MVA, 10MVA, 16 MVA, 25 MVA, 40 MVA with voltage of110 kV;

• carrying out major repairs of power transformers with a winding replacement and reconstruction with the change of parameters;

• production of the elements of high pressure pipelines with a diameter up to 820 mm, a wide range of parts and assembly units for the pipelines of thermal power plants.

OJSC "BEZ" has its own foundry with a capacity of 8500 tons of castings per year, producing manganese castings, wear resistant, heat resistant and cast iron, steel casting, casting of nonferrous metals both for Belarus, the CIS countries and abroad.

The company has a number of permits for use of the equipment manufactured by it in accordance with the requirements of the rules of industrial safety operating in the Russian Federation.

The quality management system of production of power equipment, vessels under pressure, steam and hot water pipelines, forced-draft machines, air heaters and spare parts for them, steel building structures meet the requirements of STB ISO 9001-2009.

General Description of the Belarusian energy system

The Belarusian energy system is a complex set of power plants, boiler-houses, electrical and heating systems which are interrelated in a common mode of operation throughout the country. The power sector is operated by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Belarus. Management functions of economic activities of the Belarusian energy system are performed by state production association of power industry «Belenergo».

The main activities of "Belenergo":

• Operation of the Belarusian energy system

• Generation, transmission and distribution of electricity and thermal energy

• Maintaining in good condition of power plants, electrical and heating systems

• Dispatching control over technological process of electricity production and supply

• Technical supervision over power plants and transmission facilities of the Belarusian energy system

Organization of works to ensure balanced development of the power system (including forecast of energy demand, investing, construction of energy facilities).

The structure of SPA «Belenergo» comprises six republican unitary enterprises of electric power, construction organizations, a number of factories, repair and maintenance enterprises. The regional electricity companies have in their composition 35 thermal power plants with installed capacity of 7.8 MW, 34 district boiler houses, electric grid and heat network structural units, 22 small hydro power plants with installed capacity of 9.4 MW. More than 70 thousand people work in the Belarusian energy system

Minsk tractor works was founded on May 29, 1946. Today the works, which employs more than 22000 people, has turned into one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machinery not only in CIS countries, but also worldwide. And the famous trademark “Belarus” is of great value to us — not only commercial, but also to a certain extent patriotic.

Developing foreign markets, MTW was the first among tractor manufacturers in the CIS tocertify all the produced tractors to meeting European Union standards in Silsoe institution (UK). In early May 2000 our enterprise has obtained an ISO-9001 certificate of conformity for tractor design and manufacture. And it means that the quality system, established at MTW, meets the requirements of international standards. It was also confirmed by the results of certification audit, performed by TUV-Thuringia (Germany). Today Belarus tractors are exported to more than 160 countries of the world. Annual production of tractors is around 60 thousand.

Today customers are offered more than a hundred models of tractors, in more than two hundred assembly options for all climatic and operational conditions. New models have vast unitizing opportunities with agricultural machines of different manufacturers. All the traded tractors have international certificates confirming their compliance with the European Union standards and homologation tests in the largest test centers of Western countries. OJSC “MTW” designs, manufactures and exports wheeled tractors and spare parts for them, launches their production under a license abroad, establishes and conducts service of delivered machines, provides training on operation and maintenance of produced machinery.

At the moment all the necessary auxiliary shops are created at the works which operate core production, as well as repair shops engaged in the manufacture of non-standard equipment and repair of master funds. MTW metallurgical production possesses a large complex of modern mechanized shops, where production is based on a sufficiently high technical level. Each of them can be compared with a separate works.

Competitiveness of the products of OJSC “MTW” is tested by life and by a long representation on the markets of various countries. Farmers all over the world are attracted by "Belarus" tractors primarily because of their reliability, easy operation, availability of maintenance and reasonable prices.
