Spanish II Clothing Project

Due January ____ (1st and 4th blocks)

Due January ____ (8th block)

You are to create a six page booklet that shows and describes what you prefer to wear in various types of weather/situations.

Each page should include pictures and descriptive sentences. You can use pictures from magazines, sales flyers, or from the internet. You can even be creative and draw your own. Pictures can be of individual clothing pieces or of models wearing complete outfits. Another recommendation would be to dress in your own clothing and have someone take pictures of you in various surroundings and poses. Have fun and be creative, but the clothing choices should be logical for each given situation.

The situations (or pages) are as follows:

  1. Cuando hace calor…

  2. Cuando hace fresco…

  3. Cuando nieva…

  4. Cuando voy a la escuela…

  5. Cuando voy a la playa o a la piscina…

  6. Cuando voy a un evento formal…

Each page should include AT LEAST four clothing items and two sentences. The first sentence tells what you prefer to wear in each situation. The second gives a bit more detail about your preferences. For example: In the summer I prefer to wear a t-shirt, shorts, sandals and sunglasses. I want to buy a red t-shirt and white shorts. You can write as many sentences as you choose to on each page, but write at least two. Use what you know! Don’t try to use vocabulary and structures that we have not studied yet. This should be your own effort, not what other people can translate for you. Speaking of translators, don’t use a computer to do your work for you. They never use the correct wordage, and it is painfully obvious when you use one.
