ADDF asks for reports of research progress every 6 months. This is an opportunity to share research results, address challenges, adjust the experimental plan, and discuss next steps for the project. In most cases, ADDF will set up a progress call to discuss this report. Please have this report handy to reference during the discussion.
In the interim scientific progress report, the investigator should clearly discuss the extent to which progress has contributed to the objectives of the project, as well as positive and negative unexpected findings. Problems should be interpreted in relation to their probable effects on the likelihood and cost of attaining the project’s objectives.
Upon completion of the grant award, the investigator should prepare a final scientific progress report that presents and assesses the overall findings and indicates the degree to which the objectives were met. The investigator should also include potentially fruitful new lines of research indicated by the results of the project. Additional pages can be attached, including charts and graphs of results.
1. Scientific Summary
Provide a concise scientific summary of the overall progress of the project. Tables, figures, and additional pages should be attached as needed. Please use the outline below to organzie your report.
Brief, non-confidential, lay summary of progress to date that could potentially be shared with ADDF donors supporting the work

3. Other Support
Provide current information about other research support.

Did ADDF’s grant help leverage any of the above funds? If so, how?
4. Personnel Changes
Changes which occurred in the reporting period should be listed first. Planned changes should be listed next. Indicate the % effort of personnel departing with a “-“ and those being added with a “+”.

If so, please describe:
7. IRB/IACUC Certification
For all grants involving human subjects or vertebrae animals, an updated annual certification is required by the ADDF as an appendix to the progress report if protocols have been changed substantially from those originally proposed and approved.
8. Use of CROs
We are developing ADDF ACCESS as a resource to help our investigators navigate the CRO community efficiently – your confidential feedback is critical in helping the ADDF monitor CRO quality and performance and optimize this network. Any feedback you provide below will be de-identified and aggregated before it is used to support ACCESS. Your identity will not be shared with the vendor or any other member of the network.
1) Did you utilize CRO(s) for any part of this study? Did you utilize the ADDF ACCESS network to identify the CRO(s)?
2) If you did use a CRO for part of this project, please provide information on the CRO(s) and services contracted:
On a scale of 1-5, with 1 representing poor and 5 representing excellent, please rate the following for each CRO:
3) How likely would you be to work with this vendor again or recommend this vendor to a colleague?
4) How would you rate the overall quality of the vendor’s final work product?
5) How would you rate the vendor’s ability to predict and deliver a project on budget?
6) How would you rate the consistency and quality of the vendor’s communication?
7) Is there anything else you’d like to tell us about working with this vendor?
