Section 7

You must complete this Section if you are applying for a Scholarship awarded on the basis of financial need.

In applying for a Scholarship based on financial need, you must provide full details of your financial circumstances. The scholarships are funded by the generous donations of alumni, corporate donors and other well-wishers; only applicants who can demonstrate financial need are eligible for these awards. Please tell us as much as you can about your financial circumstances. The Scholarships Panel expects to see supporting documentary evidence and your application is likely to be unsuccessful if this is not provided. If your household is in receipt of Family Tax Credit, School Meals Subsidy, Income Support, DSS Benefits, Disability Allowances or Income from Savings, please provide evidence. You are encouraged to supply information relating to all sources of household income and expenditure. A copy of the Inland Revenue TC602 document detailing Tax Credits Awarded is useful, however if this is not applicable, copies of other paperwork demonstrating income should be submitted. If you simply list outgoings and income within this section, or list on a separate sheet, your application is likely to be unsuccessful, proof must be provided. If you state evidence can be supplied on request this too will also result in your application not receiving favourable consideration. You should include information about family members still in full time education or, if mature, about any dependants. You should also let us know if you are the first generation of your immediate family ever to apply to university. Please continue on a separate sheet if required.
