This CQUIN incentivises the implementation of 5 of the 6 high impact innovations from the DoH Innovation, Health and Wealth publication (December 2011). The 5 innovations included within the CQUIN are -3 Million Live; Oesophageal Doppler Monitoring; Child in a Chair in a Day; Digital by Default and Carers for people with Dementia. |
Description of indicator – how will achievement be measured? |
This CQUIN will Incentivise the identification, planning and implementation of a programme to develop the relevant high impact innovations ready for the CQUIN gateway in 2013/14. . The CQUIN will be divided into 3 parts: Q1. Identification and agreement of the relevant innovations. Q2: Presentation of agreed implementation plan to cover Q3 and Q4 Q4: Delivery of agreed milestones |

Innovation, Health and Wealth (DoH Dwecember 2011) describes a number of high impact actions for which providers need demonstrate their implementation. The SoE planning guidance for 2012/13 states that meeting trajectories for the implementation of the High Impact Actions is a gateway requirement for CQUIN payments for 2012/13 and a prequalification for CQUIN in 2013/14. |
