In these proceedings, the court has the power to make any of the following in respect of either or all of the children:

The preferred option for any child is to allow them to be raised by their birth parents. The Local Authority has considered within its parenting assessment the factors associated with likelihood of future risk, protective factors and ability for parents to change. The Local Authority acknowledge that care proceedings has been time limited and that previously the children and parents were supported previously on a child protection plan.
The Local Authority has given careful consideration to all of the possible future placement options for ******************* and has concluded as follows:

The advantages of a kinship placement would be that the children would remain within their family and would be able to retain a direct relationship with their parents and the wider extended family.
Consider this for any extended family/friends that have been assessed positively. Especially important if the child is already placed there.
