Replacement and Repair Screws
“What’s the Difference?”
Replacement screws are used when the frame has not been damaged but a screw has fallen out. Safe-Lok® screws solve this problem with its Tight Bond® coating by locking the screw in place.
Repair screws are used when the frames hardware has stripped threads or a screw has been drilled out. Tap ‘n’ Lok® screws tap new threads easily to make the repair a snap! Tap ‘n’ Lok® screws also have our Tight Bond® coating to lock screws in place.
Tight Bond® is a unique locking system that eliminates temple flop and lens drop from occurring. Although the screws can be removed with a screwdriver, they will not become loose or fall out like conventional screws.
