Two prices to be given
One price to include installing an Open Platform Lift and creating new ope from Reception to Exhibition Area
Other price to include lowering floor level of New proposed Exhibition area to 100.000 as per the Wheelchair access hallway and creating lower ramp in new proposed Exhibition Area. Platform Lift and new ope not to be included in this price.
Costs associated with each section indicated .i.e Toilets, Reception etc to be identified in tender prices given
SPECIFICATION
RECEPTION LOBBY
Large LCD screen Notice Board displaying advertisements, events etc to be set up in lobby with map of Lismore, wall hanging and Manual Notice Board. Screen to be supplied and allow for set up and installation.
Manual Notice Board 1.0m x 1.5m with pockets and to hold items
Existing Reception area to store. 1Hour Fire Door with 1 hour stud partition wall, skirting as per existing made good and painted white.
NOTE: All walls, ceilings, windows, cabinetry allow for making good and painting.
TOILET FACILITIES
D/A BATHROOM
Door to bathroom to be moved to extend toilet to maximum. Tiling about whb to be replaced with 0.6sq.m. Of new decorative tiling. Light and mirror overhead to be replaced. Water heater in Gents toilets to serve here. Water heater to heat to maximum temperature and less wastage
Storage Heater to be replaced with one less prone to rusting and more appropriate to bathrooms
Replace whb and wc with Armitage Shanks single handle mixed.

NEW SHOP AND RECEPTION AREA
DISPLAY AND WALLS
Existing exhibitions and exhibition areas to be removed and stored safely and existing walls to be cleared also. New 12.5mm plasterboard, taped skimmed and finished walls to be painted and prepared for wall exhibits and information. Skirting, architraves and mouldings to be reused where possible. All surfaces to be redecorated, colours to be selected.
CEILINGS.
Ceilings in Exhibition Area to extend across room and allow full view of Window at rear (Window to be opened up as indicated on drawing and made good). Lighting to be placed over new Information Desk. Down lighting and lighting fixtures.

INFORMATION DESK/RECEPTION DESK
Desk as per drawing in hardwood with words reception in brass plate on front of desk and overhead lit sign indicating it is a Reception
WINDOWS
-SINGLE WINDOW ABOVE RECEPTION/INFO. DESK
* This window is currently blocked up flush with wall but is still in position and visible externally. The false wall is to be removed and wall is to be made good
* 2No. windows in the NEW SHOP RECEPTION AREA indicated on Drawing 350.05 have been obscured externally with copper cladding from the new extension. Remove cladding and made good dressing copper adequately and neatly above windows.
New Glazed Double Door from Entrance Lobby to replaced current timber doors. These are to be similar to those currently at Entrance but to be automated as people enter building with over ride to allow it to be kept in position and controlled by another. Timber Frame in existence to be removed or made good.
PLATFORM LIFT
Opening to be provided between New Proposed Shop and Reception/Information Area and the New Proposed Exhibition Area. Subject to approval by Engineer overhead lintols and made good about ope.
Open platform Lift to be provided in location indicated.
OR
LOWERING FLOOR OF NEW MUSEUM/DISPLAY AREA
Lowering of Floor to Level 100.000 allowing wheelchair users to access from hallway but allow but increased cost of ramp at this point.
Allow for New Reception/Information Desk with 8no Electrical sockets in desk and lighting overhead.
New lighting to be provided for Model Exhibits as per the drawing and lighting for Wall exhibits. Allow for Lighting and for Fittings similar to those in the Building currently – Similar type finish and colour.
Allow for 3 no. stands to exhibit information on Lismore.
3 No Storage Radiators to be reused and moved into locations indicated on drawing 350.05.
NEW FILM AREA (EXISTING CRYSTAL ROOM)
New pull down blind at window to block out light to be provided and fitted
White Screen or white wall to display Lismore Film to be reused from existing Film Area in Lismore
Reuse existing seating in film area and adjust and fix accordingly.
Lighting – Recessed lighting to be dimmed and timed to coincide with showing of film but to be overridden by switch.
Electrics – Existing storage heater to be reused.
Overhead ceiling mounted projector to display Lismore Film to be timed on loop showing every 30/45 mins
Wall displays x 2 to be lit from overhead and dimmed to coincide with film also.
Flooring – Flooring used in existing film area of similar type and colour to be used in new proposed film area
All surfaces to be redecorated
NEW EXHIBITION AREA
RAMP:
New platforms and ramps @ 1:12 as indicated on drawing 350.05 with timber finish similar to floor and non-slip in gold inset horizontally. Handrail similar to in gold/brass colour and toughened glazing at sides.
Walls as indicated to be removed and made good
Electrics: - Reuse storage heaters and relocate at locations indicated.
- 2 No. model displays – allow for lighting from underneath. Provision of stands constructed on MDF1.0m x 1.0m x 1.0m) or similar and in glass casings
- Wall displays allow for top lit brass coloured fittings similar to those already in use here for lighting displays.
- 2No. Interractive Touchscreen with information regarding Lismore and famous people, famous events in Lismore. Supply fit and installation
- Allow for ceiling lighting to be adjusted and repairs to ceiling accordingly
All surfaces to be made good and decorated
NEW BOYLE ROOM
2 No. Interactive Touchscreens regarding the life of Boyle and his experiments - Supply fit and installation
Desk in hardwood see drawing attached
Overhead projector linked in PC or Laptop to project onto white screen indicated
Allow for 3 No. wall displays to be top lit by brass coloured fittings similar to those currently in use in the building
All surfaces to be made good and redecorated.
