The Chapter Council met 3 times during the year 2015-16.

4. ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING

The AGM of the Chapter was held on 18^th May, 2015 at HOTEL SHAAN ROYAL, Chennai.

5.FOUNDATION DAY MEETING

The foundation day of IIIE - Madras chapter was celebrated in a grand style and fine decorum with most of the members in attendance. The function was held on 27^th January 2016 at Hotel Shan Royal presided by the chairman Dr.T.Ayyappan. The chief guest was Shri S Rajagopalan,CEO ,Ashley Alteams a leading Engineering Industry in automotive sector. He enlightened the concept of ‘swach bharat’ and also highlighted various case studies and practices in their industry.The session was so interactive and though provoking.

6.AWARDS

7. CHAPTER COUNCIL ELECTION

Vacancies arose due to the retirement of the following members:

(i) Dr. T Ayyappan

(ii) Dr.G.Deenadayalan and

(iii) Dr.S.P.Srinivasan

Six valid nominations were received and out of them three withdrew their nominations. The following were elected unanimously

Shri Dr.G.Deenadayalan was the Returning Officer.

The Chennai chapter thanks the speakers of the various lecture meetings and also thanks the Principals of various colleges for their participation in the foundation Day competition. The Chapter also thanks Shri V.Shyam Sundar, Auditor for auditing the Chapter accounts and Shri Dr.G.Deenadayalan for conducting the Chapter Council elections.
