Dear X,

Despite the Internet’s many wonderful benefits, a perfect storm has emerged for the online victimization of children. Kids have free and easy access to pornography, and sexual predators have easy and anonymous access to kids.  Law enforcement limitations and challenges abound, and naïve kids are engaging in risky online behavior.  Parents, educators and other caring adults must serve as the first line of defense to protect kids online, but they are often uninformed or ill-equipped to deal with these and other evolving threats.

Enough Is Enough (EIE) has been a leader on the frontlines of efforts to protect children from online dangers since 1994, working with the Internet industry, the public, and law enforcement to effectively prevent Internet-initiated crime against children. Enough Is Enough’s President, Donna Rice Hughes is an internationally known Internet safety expert and advocate. As a respected leader of national efforts to protect children from online dangers, Donna has championed EIE’s mission to make the Internet safer for children and families. She has given over 3,000 media interviews, and has been featured on CNN, Fox news, MSNBS, the Today Show, Good Morning America, the New York Times, USA Today and the Wall Street Journal among many others.

Under Donna’s leadership and vision, EIE created the state-of-the-art, multi-media Internet Safety 101SM Program to educate, equip and empower parents, educators and other caring adults with the knowledge and resources needed to protect children online. Firsthand accounts from law enforcement officers, clinicians, victims, parents, kids, industry leaders and a convicted sex offender are woven into this compelling four-part DVD teaching series, accompanying workbook, website and other resources.

The cornerstone element of the Internet Safety 101SM Program is the chapter-segmented DVD teaching series (full running time: 2 hours, 17 minutes), which covers the dangers of Internet pornography, predators, cyberbullies and new threats relating to social networking, online gaming and mobile devices. The four-part DVD series, hosted and led by EIE President Donna Rice Hughes, was shot in high-definition film in front of a live studio audience. Poignant true stories and essential strategies to counter online dangers are woven throughout the Internet Safety 101SM teaching series (click here to view some of the video vignettes, which run 60 seconds to 6 minutes in length), giving parents, educators and other adults the information, skills and confidence to effectively protect children on all Internet-enabled devices.

Endorsed by the U.S. Department of Justice, industry leaders such as AOL, AT&T, Google, Microsoft, MySpace, Verizon and non-profits such as The Salvation Army and the Virginia and Maryland PTAs, this comprehensive program features top experts from the world of law enforcement, psychology and technology. (Some of EIE’s endorsements can be seen here).

As EIE seeks to increase the number of parents, educators and other adults empowered with this revolutionary resource, EIE has made the Internet Safety 101SM resource
