Definition of household and household members: A household is constituted by a family or other union of persons who state that they live together and spend their income together to pay for the basic living expenses, notwithstanding whether all members are constantly present at the residence of the household, for example if some of them are temporarily living elsewhere, in a different town or country, for the purposes of employment, education, or other reasons. A household may be the following:
(a) Two or more persons, notwithstanding their family relations, sharing the same living area, who usually buy and consume food together (multi-member household) or

Current employment
Definition of employment: The employed are persons aged 15 years and over who, during the reference week: (a) worked for at least one hour for a salary or fee, notwithstanding their formal status or (b) did not work, but had a job to return to. The employed comprise employees, self-employed and unpaid family workers.
Reference period for employment: A specifically determined fixed week
Current unemployment
Definition of unemployment: The unemployed are persons aged 15 years and over who: (a) in the reference period, did not engage in any activity for which they received a salary or fee; (b) spent four weeks (the reference and three preceding weeks) actively looking for employment or found a job and were about to start work in near future; (c) might start work during two weeks following the reference week should they be offered employment.
Unemployment refers to people who during the reference period: Are without work, available to work and actively seeking work
Reference period for seeking work: Four weeks: the three weeks preceding the reference week and the reference week
Reference period for availability for work: The two weeks following the interview date (moving)
