  1. On Internet Explorer Go to Blackboard, Course Materials then Laboratory and Click and Download the file called sprocket. (Save it somewhere you’ll remember)

(You can save an IGES file in Catia, ProE, NX, Inventor, Solid Works just save your .prt file as an IGES file (.igs).)

  1. In GibbsCAM make sure you have defined your stock size and downloaded the IGES file.

  2. In GibbsCAM Click File > Import then click.

  3. In GibbsCAM Change the “Files of type” drop down menu to IGES (*.igs)

  4. In GibbsCAM Find the saved IGES file and click Open.

  5. Check the Solidify box.

  6. Click Process.
