January 8, 2008


The Board of Directors of the Lindsay-Strathmore Irrigation

District met this day in regular session in the office of

the District.


President Pursell called the meeting to order at 1:40 p.m. CALL TO ORDER


Directors Tienken, Pursell, Williams PRESENT


Director Lopez, Imoto ABSENT


Manager Edwards and Secretary Medders OTHERS PRESENT


Upon motion by Director Tienken, seconded by Director Williams APPROVE MINUTES

and carried the minutes of the regular meeting held December

11, 2007 were approved.


There were no amendments or additions to the agenda. ADDITIONS TO

AGENDA


The outstanding claims against the District, already approved AUTHORIZE

by the finance committee were allowed and payment thereof PAYMENT OF

authorized by the following Directors: CLAIMS


Ayes: Directors Tienken, Pursell, Williams

Noes: None

Absent: Directors Lopez, Imoto


There was no public comment. PUBLIC COMMENT


Following is Manager Edwards’ water report for 2007-08. WATER REPORT

Secretary Medders presented the Income Statement and Balance FINANCIAL

Sheet for the month ending December 31, 2007. After a STATEMENTS

complete review of said reports Director Tienken offered

motion to accept the reports as presented. The motion was

seconded by Director Williams and was carried.


Eastside Power Authority has hit a bump in the road on the POWER

solar project. The IRS has denied the application for CREBS AUTHORITIES

financing. They will take the project to the investors to see

if we proceed on the project.


Friant Power Authority Advisory Committee will have a meeting

on January 22, 2008.

Manager Edwards reviewed the legislative update that was FWUA & FWA

provided by Friant Water Authority. There were no action

items to report to the board.


The Board went into closed session at 1:54 p.m. per Government CLOSED

Code Section 54956.9(a) – Existing Litigation. The Board SESSION

discussed the NRDC vs. Rogers litigation. The board came out

of closed session at 2:15 p.m. President Pursell reported

in open session that no action was taken during closed

session.


There being no further business to come before the Board the ADJOURNMENT

meeting was adjourned at 2:18 p.m.
